Weather conditions on Apr. 21 proved to be ideal for distance running, and the result was one of the most memorable Boston Marathons in history. The pleasant weather brought out an immense and enthusiastic crowd that was treated to two special honors: seeing the closest women's finish in race history, and seeing Saint Anselm College Junior Nick Rich running the course donning just a "Speedo" swimsuit and a sweatband.

With two victories over Rhode Island College on May 4, the Keene State College baseball team made history. For the first time since the team joined the Little East Conference, KSC won the regular season division title outright.

Thirty-nine Harvard ruggers set off last week for the wilds of North Carolina to compete in the MBA Rugby World Cup, hosted by Duke's Fuqua School of Business. As is the case with everything in life, especially in sports, all good things must come to an end, and for me my time as sports editor is up. There will be no fourth-quarter comeback or Michael Jordan type of retirement. This is the real deal, and therefore it's time to say goodbye.
