To the Editor:

McGregor Memorial EMS is pleased to welcome all UNH first year students to Durham! McGregor is nearing the completion of a major station renovation, enlarging the space for its fifty volunteers. Many of McGregor's volunteers are UNH students, and this renovation provides a better environment for EMS preparedness while adding a quiet study and improved entertainment and living spaces.

McGregor EMS is an emergency ambulance service providing emergency medical coverage to the University of New Hampshire as well as the towns of Durham, Lee, and Madbury. Its station is located on campus next to Zais Hall.

All are welcome to attend an open house at the station, on Monday, September 24, 2007 at 6pm. McGregor also offers a ride-along program for those who wish to learn more about the service. Those interested in joining a group of dedicated volunteers or becoming an EMT are encouraged to e-mail: membership@mcgregorems.org or visit the station. For more information please visit them on the web at www.McGregorEMS.org.
